Gradually, Lucia becomes more and more autonomous within the styling department, especially in the design of the prêt a porter-woman collections, including lingerie, knitwear, swimwear, leather accessories and jewellery.

The cooperation with leading personalities such as Oliviero Toscani, Pat Cleveland and Clarissa Burt, during the photo shoots for Vogue or Harper’s Bazar and the fashion shows enriches even more Lucia’s professional education, keeping alive her creative attitude. Due to familiar needs, this rich working experience in the Lancetti’s atelier comes to an end, and the stylist moves to Florence, where is still living, keeping always on getting in touch with Mr Lancetti, up to his death, in 2007. For several years Lucia Ferdinandi works as a freelance stylist and draws some woman outfits collections for Sonia Fortuna and Le Tricot, a well-known knitwearing company in Perugia. An important change occurs in the year 2006: Lucia makes her debut realizing her own project Boudoir d’Autore to which she dedicates all the experience acquired over the years.

In January, during the Pitti Immagine event, the stylist presents her first fashion collection in the suggestive late Baroque Palazzo Capponi all’Annunziata in Florence: her dresses are shown, inspired to the most famous Impressionist’s paintings, in a sophisticated mix of retrò atmosphere and actual fashion trends. Inspiring muses are the women painted by Monet, Manet, Renoir and the dancers by Degàs. Sly baby queens, gritty ladies whose heart is difficult to win, able to bring about a Revolution through Romanticism. An original performance of art, fashion and music emphasized by the presence of Julie Marghilano. Already famous for having worked as a model for Roberto Cavalli, Gai Mattiolo and Laura Biagiotti, Greek-American artist as well as model, she accompanies her performances playing the electronic violin. The stylist meets an immediate positive and enthusiastic assessment both by press and public opinion. In the following June, on the occasion of the photographic contemporary art exhibition Light on China Art Generation, in a European preview in Florence and the same setting of Palazzo Capponi, Lucia is selected as its madrina. During the exhibition she shows some outfits ispired to the Imperial China and the Italian Renaissance, both periods of the highest splendor in the two cultures. In October 2006, within a project of economical and cultural exchange between Florence and Ningbo, fashion town near Shangai, invited by Silvano Gori, councillor in office to the production activities, Lucia Ferdinandi takes part as dresses exhibitor in the International Ningbo Fair, where she is greatly successful with her original and of high level Made in Italy. Other art-fashion events follow, in Florence, integrated within the different editions of Pitti Immagine, in which the stylist takes part as guest/sponsor.

The expositive windows are impressive: the halls of the St. Regis Florence, Palazzo Corsini and Palazzo Giugni Fraschetti, seat of the International Lyceum Club of Florence. In this last one, in Dicember 2012, the fashion show opens run by the journalist Ferdinando Berni, together with Juan Lorenzo, concert artist of guitarra Flamenco; then a special fashion show, with unique models inspired to art, worn by some of the fellow’s aristocratic daughters. In the following years, the first cooperations with some shops in Florence: Flo, a concept store flanned and opened in occasion of Pitti Immagine 2011, in order to give visibility to emergent stylists; La Gare 24, concept store “à la francaise”, of rètro inspiration and couture manifacture; Fly Fashion Loves You, a kind of experiential shop which accepts and selects new brands.

In september 2015, she was asked by a personal shopper from Milan to realize some fashion collections for her customers. She did them and sold all of them with great success. Besides her job ad a stylist, she is working together with some fashion photographers in their shootings production.
